Our Parliamentary Coordinator Oya Özden met with Özgür Özel. Congratulating him for his new title at the party, Özden asked him to not leave the seats of CHP empty in the following TsPA meetings, which will start again in October.
The first reply to our request for an appointment we made to the chairs of the four parties in the Parliament came from the Republican People’s Party (CHP). We requested this appointment to refresh the political support on our work in the start of the 25th Parliamentary Session. Since CHP Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was busy, he transferred our request to the new group deputy chairman Özgür Özel.
Our Parliamentary Coordinator Oya Özden met with Özgür Özel. Congratulating him for his new title at the party, Özden asked him to not leave the seats of CHP empty in the following TsPA meetings, which will start again in October. Underlining that the support given until today was not sufficient, Özden suggested that Chair Kılıçdaroğlu to make a speech on the matter in the closed group meeting of the party, in order to protect and support the project. Demanding assignments for PM participation to the meetings organized in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir sPA, our coordinator expressed the importance of the position CHP takes with an attitude away from being prohibitive, in order for necessary changes to be put into reality for the civil society to be able to comfortable work.
Participating once to Izmir sPA, Özgür Özel expressed his criticisms on the project and the deficiencies he noticed. Özel also stated that it will be useful for Parliament Members to get to know the small Assemblies, and that he will convey the meeting notes to Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu as well.
Addressing Administrative Authority Tufan Köse regarding the problems on entering the Parliament and for special entrance cards to be given, Özel also indicated that he will convey this problem to the Chair as well.
