sPAT April 2016 Agenda: 'Right of asylum, its application in the world and TR-EU Agreement’
On the days of April, sPAT takes a previously local topic into its agenda, reflecting on the meetings for a long time with its different aspects.
The environment of clashes in the Middle East, specifically in Syria has caused a flow of migrants, which still continues, in Turkey since the first day of conflict. This situation has first been faced by the provinces that were nearest to conflict zones; however it is now being debated together with the security of people living in those regions, with the right to live, with the right to asylum in the international arena, caused by the variety of sides in the war or cold war, as well as the flow of migrants.
Titles close to this topic in the public are usually handled in terms of terrorism, reasons for this environment in the national and international arena, politics and security measures. Together with the recent TR-EU Agreement, the debates have prepared a basis for other topics to emerge as well, such as projects organized for migrants, the right to asylum and its applications in the world.
