As the Children’s Holiday of April 23 carried on with celebrations where children sat in huge chairs with cute utterings the National Sovereignty dimension was performed by TsNAs visiting the TGNA.
27 TsNA initiators consisting of workers from Ankara and İstanbul visited AKP, MHP, CHP, and BDP groups respectively. They were greeted by Mahir Ünal-AKP, Mehmet Şandır-MHP, Muharrem İnce-CHP, and Hasip Kaplan-BDP.
And TGNA Speaker Cemil Çiçek was also visited. The TsNA wishing this to become a tradition for the last three years have been sending its envoys for exchanging greetings. However they did not kiss hands and were not treated to turkish delights, but teas.
As well as the group leaders, the Speaker also emphasized the significance of maintaining high level communications between NGOs and politicians and expressed their well wishes.
A three day seminar and General sNA meeting
TsNAs as usual came together at the annual meeting and the seminars during the April 23rd holidays. On April 21-22-23 at Ankara Etap Mola hotel the first two days everyone talked about the various experiences and good and bad developements at different towns. The workshop İstanbul kitchen brought forth their own issues and Ankara kitchen discussed the plus and minus of the relations with TGNA. On the second half of the second day common solutions to various difficulties were discussed.
In the morning of April the 23rd there was a “Central small National Assembly” meeting where representatives of the 4 parties were inviited. Each province described their problems seperately while CHP and MHP Ankara MPs Bülent Kuşoğlu and Özcan Yeniçeri listened with interest promising to convey the sentiment to their respective parties for future participation in TsNAs regularly. However AKP and BDP seats were not occupied for İstanbul MP Mustafa Ataş and Hakari MP Adil Kurt were not present. AKP group leader Mahir Ünal expressed his distress and claimed he would personally have attended if informed. Thus the visit took another turn and listened to the issues concerning his party in every province taking notes and promising to resolve.
Next meeting is to take place in 21-23 April 2013. The format will be the same: 2 days of annual seminar and traditional visiting of the TGNA. Realizing it once or twice will not make it into a tradition unfortunately…
Long live TGNA, long live TsNA…
