sPAT Project Coordinator Yakup Karabacak, sPAT Parliament Coordinator Oya Özden and Ankara Porter Nagihan Konukcu have visited Justice and Development Party (AKP) Deputy Chairmen; Civil Society and Public Relations Chairman Fatih Şahin and Political and Legal Affairs Chairman Hayati Yazıcı.
sPAT Project Coordinator Yakup Karabacak, sPAT Parliament Coordinator Oya Özden and Ankara Porter Nagihan Konukcu have visited Justice and Development Party (AKP) Deputy Chairmen; Civil Society and Public Relations Chairman Fatih Şahin and Political and Legal Affairs Chairman Hayati Yazıcı.
Yakup Karabacak has expressed that the basis for the survival of sPAT within the last nine years is the 13 principles as well as their attempt to remain equidistant to all parties. Karabacak has further indicated that the projects to maintain a dialogue holds an important position in Turkey’s future and that our expectation from the politics, as sPAT, is support to continue such a ground of dialogue. Oya Özden has also pointed out that at this point we’re at, there is a hopelessness on a resolution to be created by the politics; whereas this dialogue basis will act as a mirror for politics.
Civil Society and Public Relations Chairman Fatih Şahin has indicated that sPAT is a precious project and a step taken with goodwill; and that they will hold the necessary discussion in the party to strengthen and continue this basis.
Political and Legal Affairs Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, on the other hand, has indicated the importance of transparency and accountability in politics. Yazıcı added that the organization of civil society adds to the democratic image, and that they will support structures that will empower the perception of politics and eliminate misunderstandings.
