We have announced the common denominator report of the small Provincial Assemblies of Turkey,gathered in March 2016 with the general agenda, “femicides, violence, abatements and resolutions” on March 30 at the Parliamentary Press Meeting Hall together with HDP MP Hüda Kaya.
We have announced the common denominator report of the small Provincial Assemblies of Turkey,gathered in March 2016 with the general agenda, “femicides, violence, abatements and resolutions” on March 30 at the Parliamentary Press Meeting Hall together with HDP MP Hüda Kaya.
The common denominators emerging from the meetings held with the participation of 140 NGOs in 14 provinces:
1- Penalty abatements are not acceptable in femicides, the level of deterrence in the law must be increased.
2- In order to prevent violence against women, an education must be provided which will create awareness in all areas of society.
In 2 meetings we held in 14 provinces, we have debated the general agenda, “The Ankara Attack, Relations with Syria and PYD in the shadow of Russia and the U.S.” The only agreement in this agenda has been:
3- The region which includes Turkey as well is staging the clash of interests of international powers.
