CNNTürk included sPAT in its news section, with its February 2016 general agenda, “Freedom of Thought and Expression, The Situation of Media in Turkey.”
In the news prepared by CNNTürk, focusing on the work of sPAT, the February meetings and the principles of sPAT; such as, “Prejudice is not allowed,” “The purpose is to create dialogue, not to decide,” were emphasized.
While sPAT Assembly Coordinator Oya Özden indicated that the owners of sPAT are all NGOs and MPs from any perspective; CHP MP Bülent Kuşoğlu also emphasized, after attending the Ankara sPAT Meeting, that they hear the voice of NGOs better with such meetings and that opinions are needed to be shared so that democracy can progress.
