The Common Ground Report of TkMM – June 2014 has been announced publicly with the press meeting of Bursa Deputy of CHP Aykan Erdemir in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Besides announcing the Common Ground Report of the TkMM June Meetings in 19 of the currently active 22 cities with the general agenda “Safety at work after Soma”, Aykan Erdemir has also shared the three common grounds from the meetings of the non-governmental organizations and the deputies in the 19 cities.
The Common Grounds:
1-ILO (International Labour Organization) C176 (Safety and Health in Mines Convention) must be signed and subcontracting must be banned within all sectors.
2-The legislation on Health and Safety at Work must not only remain on paper, also must be applied.
3-The corresponding control units of each business segment must be properly educated and must be independent, and the number of staff must be sufficient to make regular controlling sessions.
